What makes LayRite Customs different from other shops in Kansas City?
A technical background other wrap shops do not have. Owner James D Holmes IV worked as a Toyota technician before founding LayRite, which means safer disassembly, better installation, and the ability to handle the unexpected when a panel does not come apart the way it should.
Can you work on any vehicle type?
Compact cars through commercial trucks, plus boats and jet skis. We have wrapped Kansas City streetcars and transit stops. If it has a surface, we can most likely wrap it.
Why don't you list prices on your website?
Every vehicle and project is different. Size, design complexity, material choice and the current condition of the paint all affect the price. We give free consultations and detailed quotes so you get what you need without paying for what you do not.
How do I get a quote?
Three ways: call (816) 768-2149, fill out the online quote form with your year, make and model, or visit for a free in-person consultation. We typically provide quotes within 24 hours.
How long will my vehicle be in the shop?
It depends on the service. A full wrap takes 2 to 3 days and a partial wrap 1 to 2. PPF runs 1 to 3 days depending on coverage. Ceramic coating takes 1 to 2 days including cure time. Window tinting is 2 to 4 hours.
What if something goes wrong after installation?
We warranty our work. Contact us as soon as you notice a problem. We will inspect it and resolve it under warranty if it relates to materials or installation.
