LayRite Customs wasn't born in a boardroom—it started with a philosophy. "Lay Rite" was a family saying years before James D Holmes IV found his niche in vehicle wrapping, a motivational phrase meaning "before you lay, make sure everything is rite." Today, that philosophy drives every project at our Liberty, Missouri vehicle customization shop.
James D Holmes IV brings over 18 years of automotive expertise to LayRite Customs—10 years as a Toyota technician and 8 years specializing in vehicle tinting and wrapping. His transition from mechanical work to vehicle cosmetics wasn't just natural—it was strategic."I went into business because I felt like I had a skill in art that deserved more than minimum wage or not making my own decisions," James explains. "I am passionate about providing people with great, honest services that gives them the opportunity to express and advertise themselves through their vehicle."
What sets LayRite Customs apart is James's deep mechanical foundation. Disassembling a vehicle is a key step in professional wrap installation, and knowing the ins and outs of every car means when problems occur, LayRite Customs has the expertise to handle them.
